How We Protect Your Corporate & Student Footprint

At Break, we believe that your professional and personal data is strictly yours. We designed our real-time matching system around absolute security, transparent logs, and an ironclad commitment to privacy. We never monetize your activity or sell corporate credentials.

1. Zero Background GPS Tracking

Break does not track or store your background location. Unlike traditional navigation or location-based social networks, we only fetch your coordinate region when you actively tap "going for chai" to identify which corporate park building you are in. Your real-time position is never logged on our servers or kept after your matchup is complete.

2. AES-256 Domain Encryption

Your work or college domains are secured with military-grade AES-256 encryption. Database access is strictly controlled, and we use secure SSL/TLS communication layers across all APIs. Connection databases are securely managed within highly isolated, firewall-protected MongoDB Atlas clusters.

3. Anonymized Regional Dashboards

We are dedicated to preventing corporate profile harvesting or cyberstalking. Break only showcases your first name and verified department or student course on matches. Visitor footprint statistics are fully anonymized to generic State and District values, and we enforce strict limits (capping at the 10 most recent matchups) to protect regional footprints.

4. Zero Third-Party Sharing & Advertisers

  • No Corporate Profiling: We do not build consumer behavior profiles or sell your campus routines to advertisers.
  • Enterprise domain-only blocks: Private company networks are strictly restricted to verified corporate sub-domains (e.g. employee@company.com), fully isolated from other organizations or public tracks.
  • Data Right to Erasure: You can completely erase your profile, historical waitlist slots, and matchup records in 1-click under your account settings, removing all server and database backups within 24 hours.
