Break is built around a secure and simplified data policy. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you register for early waitlists, partnership options, or lead controls on our landing pages.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the absolute minimum data required to facilitate early waitlist assignments and regional matching operations:
- Identity & Credentials: Your full name and verified work or college email domain (e.g. employee@company.com or student@college.edu).
- Location & Preferences: Your selected city, corporate park campus, or co-working workspace, along with your chosen break intents (e.g. Chai, Coffee, Walk).
- Contact Details: An optional phone number to coordinate priority launch codes.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your collected information strictly for launch and operational setups:
- To track priority waitlist slots (e.g. spot #2,431) and notify you when Break goes live inside your immediate building or campus.
- To send secure verification and welcome confirmation emails using SMTP transporters.
- To calculate anonymized regional visitor counts (state and district) for our interactive dashboards.
3. Data Protection & Sharing Limits
Break does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third-party advertisers. All collected data is securely stored inside isolated, password-protected MongoDB clusters. When matchups are live, we only share your first name and verified department or student course with your match target at partner café hotspots downstairs.
4. Cookies & Caching
We use secure local browser caching and web manifest controls to pre-load favicons and page graphics. No persistent marketing cookies or third-party behavioral analytics trackers are used.
